Fan Review from Strawberry Music Festival Chat Board
It was a joy to see Chojo last night at the Espresso Garden with only Ken Clarkson on banjo for company... I expected the hot music and the perty stuff, of course, but it was a kick to have him at the microphone with a little time to kill. That boy's been all over, and I loved hearing his stories about the folks he's met along the way. Once they got going, their gig had the playful, intimate feel of a house party. Glad I got invited! And there they sat on stage, up close and personal, so you could SEE those flying fingers… I play just enough fiddle for appreciation purposes, and there were some awesome moments when Chojo had his rhythms and melodies careening, faster than I could THINK. It was humbling and wonderful... Candy |
